Disposing of an Ex…

8 Nov

One thing I always hear about break-ups is to get rid of everything that reminds you of your now ex-love. I can see why people recommend it, coming across a shoe box of old love letters can bring the worst heart-burn ever. But I’ve got to say, that I never have, and never will dump anything I have received from an ex. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t keep all these letters, presents and trinkets in a room that is dedicated to each boy in some shrine-like-freaky-worship-way, but I don’t see the point in throwing them out. Not all of my relationships have ended well (in fact none of them, otherwise I’d still be with them right?), I’ve been cheated on, un-expectantly dumped, taken for a fool, taken for a ride, and heartbroken in the worst ways. Although there have been times when I’ve wanted to destroy everything these fuckers have given to me (including their penises), I can’t. The love letters, the cute notes, the presents, and the tiny trinkets that I have received form boys who were once loves of mine, just act as a reminder that there were not all bad times, and even though they were cunts in the end, that doesn’t mean they weren’t cuties once upon a time…

So girls (and you guys too!) what do you do with all the matterial shit left over after a realtionship has died?

Keep it?

Chuck it?

Burn it in a voodoo-witch-curse-making-ceremony?

Give it to a museum?

I agree, Why throw away perfectly good make-up/clothes/stuff that he has paid for? You’ve lost him, no point losing the material stuff as well

Give all the stuff back to him by hurling at him… 😉

Items I guess I keep. But too be honest I haven’t received much even in the longer relationships. I struggle with photos. Every time I come across them I will ‘delete’ a few more but I still have a couple of folders hidden deep within my laptop that get smaller every time I find them.
